The Kid’s Doctor Website is launched

Filed under Three Stream News on October 19th, 2009 by mlee

The Kid’s Doctor recently asked the Three Stream crew to redesign their website kidsdr.com.  It has been finished, launched, and here are the details:
In terms of design, The Kid’s Doctor already had a unique color scheme.  Borrowing from this to keep a consistent feel, we tried to incorporate a more family-friendly appearance.  Rounded corners and fun icons softened the site and transformed a traditional media site into something a bit more fun without sacrificing usability and spacing.
The technical design needed a little bit more than family friendliness.  The real task was to manage dynamic content on the home page and to incorporate the previous site’s 750+ existing posts.  Combining and managing The Kid’s Doctor’s various media outlets - print, audio, video - required some creative cataloging and structuring as well as giving the Kid’s Doctor crew the ability to easily add, categorize, and  update new posts each day.
Besides a website, Three Stream also provided email marketing through our 3mail service.  The Kid’s Doctor received an email theme that reflected the website and allowed them to easily add content and images.
Finally, be on the lookout for the upcoming Kid’s Doctor iPhone app.  It will have all your family medical advice right in the palm of your hand.  This is the first foray into the iPhone app world for Three Stream, so we are understandably excited.  So prepare yourself - The Kid’s Doctor iPhone app is coming…

Let them eat steak…A Website Launch

Filed under Three Stream News, Uncategorized on October 12th, 2009 by mlee

Everyone loves a big juicy steak…except for vegetarians…and vegans…and maybe the PETA people. While we at Three Stream don’t disagree with them for their reasons, we also really like a big juicy steak. So surely we were excited to do a redesign for Line Camp Steakhouse.
Line Camp is a restaurant located in Tolar, Texas, that prides itself on providing real Texas food, chuck wagon cooking, and southern-style comfort. The design had to reflect that spirit of the West they express with their entrees. Line Camp is also a popular venue for Texas bands and routinely draws large crowds to experience the gourmet food and live entertainment.
Because the content needed to be easily changed with little html/css knowledge, we chose to build on WordPress. This allows Line Camp to easily make additions/alterations to events, menus, specials, and picture galleries with minimal training.
From a design perspective, Line Camp needed a slightly rustic/rugged feel while retaining a clean, refined look to remind a visitor that they are a gourmet food restaurant. With a board plank background and an aged paper content area, we feel Line Camp’s website has a Western rough and rugged look while still keeping content in the driver’s seat. There are no cute animations or unnecessary elements–just a strong, clean layout without sacrificing design.
Now, this isn’t an advertisement for Line Camp Steakhouse, though if you visit the site and feel compelled to see what the fuss is about, by all means go. As we said at the top, everyone loves a big juicy steak.

Extending our design and online strategy services

O.K. for you readers who, like us, are annoyed with self promoting blog posts, this will be our last (at least for a while).  Henceforth the Three Stream blog will be dedicated to offering tips and tricks to our customers and potential customers related to online business and web strategy.  However, we gotta let people know what we are up to these days.

Last year was a great year for Three Stream.  We went from a couple of guys doing consulting and web development on the side, to a real live company with an office and everything (those of you who have seen our pathetic office are probably laughing).  We feel good about this because we are growing for the same reasons that many of the great companies have grown in history – we focused on doing great work, providing great customer service, and not settling for anything but excellence in our products (which also happen to be our client’s products).  So, this year we are making some changes that you might find interesting

Filed under Three Stream News on March 20th, 2009 by Jayson

Well folks, after a long time in coming we have just launched our new website.  We have left the old one up without updates for over a year now ,as we were so busy working with clients that we never had the time to devote to it.  This year things have changed.  More about that in our next post but suffice it to say, our clients have grown and we are growing with them.  Here is a list of features that we have included in our new site:
